I want to thank AMS for the OUTSTANDING customer service you recently provided to me. I attempted to install a window blind motor and ran into problems and called for help. Fortunately for me I spoke with Ewa Zajch who determined I was missing a needed module. She emailed me a description of the module, part numbers and copies of instructions to install it. After obtaining the module, I was unable to figure out how to set the limits of the window blind movement. Once again good fortune shined on me when I contacted Cindy Jardine. Cindy followed up Ewa’s effort by sending me additional printed instructions, your web site with all your publications, and her personal instructions on how to fix my problem.
In my last email to Cindy, I told her I still couldn’t set the blind movement limits. To my surprise a Technician (I don’t recall his name, but there must be a record of his call) called me and personally walked me through the procedures.
Throughout all of this I was and am still now overwhelmed with the personal attention I was given and the professionalism and sympathetic attitudes of these fine people. You must be very proud of them because I’m guessing I am not the first person who has complemented them.
I am very grateful for the assistance each provided me. I hope there is some way that you can reward these fine people for their outstanding work.

Where can I find the list of your authorized dealers?
You will find them on our website under “Where To Buy”.
Where can I get my shade repaired or replaced?
If your product is still under warranty, contact the service department of your vehicle’s manufacturer. If your product is no longer under warranty, contact your nearest authorized AMS renovation dealer, whom you find on our website under “Where to buy” and look up under your industry section.
Can I replace my own shade?
Trying to change shades yourself is not recommended and should be done by an authorized service dealer as you may otherwise forfeit the warranty on the product. However, after the warranty has expired and you feel expert enough in this field, then you could contact AMS through our website and request an installation manual as well as a motor user guide, if applicable, on how to set limit stops. Important: windshield shades should always be installed by a trained technician to avoid any safety issues.
How do I know what type of screen fabric is giving me the sun protection I need?
The closer the weave (expressed in openness) the better the solar protection. A 5% open screen gives a better protection against solar and UV rays than e.g. a 30% open screen. At the same time the visibility gets more limited the denser a fabric is. However, colour plays an equally important role in protecting you from the sun! A darker screen allows a better view during daytime and is also better against glare; dark colours will, however absorb more heat than lighter colours. AMS will be happy to help you, either directly or through its dealers, to make the proper screen selection as so many aspects need to be considered.
